GRANTSTOWN LAKE: Situated in a forest west of Durrow, this lovely water offers good sport for quality Tench. A weeded sheltered water, it fishes best in May- June, after which the Tench can be taken more slowly through to October. This good water also holds quality Rudd, some good-quality Perch, Pike and Eels.

Grantstown Lake is within the property of Coillte Teo and landowners’ property must be respected. Fishing is restricted to members of the Durrow and Ballinakill AC. Permits are obtainable from Bill Lawlor, Newsagent Shop, Durrow.
